Mystery Gifts have always been a fun and exciting way to get freebies in Pokemon games, and Scarlet and Violet don’t miss out on the staple. The distribution of these codes has become increasingly frequent, but they don’t always last long and some expire fairly quickly.

How to redeem Mystery Gifts in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Redeeming gifts in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is relatively simple and straightforward, but you’ll need to reach the first Pokemon Center in Los Platos before you can claim your rewards.

After you’ve talked to the Pokemon Center staff you can claim your Mystery Gifts by following the steps listed below:

  • Load up Pokemon Scarlet or Violet on Switch.
  • Open the game menu by pressing X, then select ‘Poke Portal‘ on the right side menu.
  • Select the ‘Mystery Gift‘ option at the bottom of the menu.
  • Choose which method you want to use to receive a gift. If you have a code, select the ‘Get With Code/Password‘ option.
  • Collect your gifts and enjoy!
    • This is the menu players will see when redeeming Mystery Gifts in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

    For ones that can only be claimed via the Internet, like the Mythical Pecha Berry, just click on the first option in the above menu, “Get via Internet.”

    Once claimed, Pokemon will be added to your Party or your Pokemon Boxes if there’s no room. Additionally, any items received will be sent straight to your Bag.
